General Rules

 TALL TIMBER CIRCUIT APPALOOSA SHOW

GENERAL RULES

STARTING TIME SHALL BE 8:00 A.M. EACH DAY

1.  THE RULES GOVERNING THE INDIVIDUAL CLASSES AND THE FORMULA FOR JUDGING PERCENTAGES USED WILL 

      BE FOUND IN THE CURRENT #1-APPALOOSA HORSE CLUB SHOW RULE BOOK (OPEN, YOUTH AND NON-PRO

      SECTIONS).

 

2.   While in competition, all exhibitors shall wear correct numbers on their backs or both sides of saddle pad, clearly visible to the Judge at all      

      times.

 

3.    The Show Committee shall be required to cancel or combine a class having less than 2 entries at entry closing time. Halter classes will be                             

       held regardless of the number of entries.

 

4.    No one shall approach the Judge with regards to a decision unless he/she first obtains permission from the Show Committee or Show  

       Secretary who shall arrange an appointment with the judge at a proper time and place.  No Exhibitor has the right to inspect the Judge’s

       cards without his/her permission.  THE JUDGES DECISION SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL CLASSES.

    

5.    The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry because of the disrespect for the rules, intoxication, rough treatment of

       animals, or any other reason officials may deem reasonable cause.

 

6.    Any exhibitor, agent, trainer or parent of a youth exhibitor making a protest shall lodge such protest with the Show Secretary  in writing and     

       signed by the protestor within 12 hours of the time of the cause of the protest.  No protests shall be  entertained by the Show Committee  

       unless accompanied by a deposit of $250.00, which sum may be forfeited if the protest is not sustained.  Protests shall be adjudicated by the

       Show Committee.

 

7.    Order of work shall be drawn by the Show Secretary prior to classes which work individually.  ARENA SHALL BE DRAWN IN ALL

       INDIVIDUALLY JUDGED CLASSES.

 

8.    Please Note: All exhibitors must be an ApHC member to show.  The horses owner must also be a member of ApHC.  If you don’t

       Have a current ApHC card, you will be able to purchase one at the show.

 

PRE-ENTRIES ARE ENCOURAGED

1.    Entries must be postmarked by: Opener June 19th and Finals July 24th, 2008. Post entries will be accepted only up to three (3) classes prior 

        to the class to be entered.

 

2.    All entries must be made on the official entry blanks furnished by the Show Committee and must be signed by the owner  or authorized

       agent.   Parents must sign for Youth exhibitors under the age of 18.  Exhibitors are responsible for any  errors on the entry blank.  .    

       Presentation of signed entry blanks shall be deemed acceptance of  these rules and in event of failure to sign the entry blank the first entry  

       into the show ring as an exhibitor shall be deemed to be an acceptance of said rules.

 

3.    No refunds shall be made on stall or entry  fees without a signed veterinarian’s certificate.  All claims for any entry or stall refund must be

       presented to the Show Secretary prior to the start of the show.

 

4.    All exhibitors must present the original or a legible copy, front and back, of the registration papers at the time of  entry for each horse shown. 

       All horses, including current year foals, must be registered with the Appaloosa Horse Club, Inc. in the foundation, permanent, tentative

       or CPO registry.  Horses must be entered under their full registered name and number.  NOTE:  PHOTO COPIES OF BOTH SIDES OF

       ORIGINAL REGISTRATION PAPERS CAN BE SUBMITTED WITH  YOUR ENTRY AND FEES.  COPIES  WILL BE  RETURNED  

       AT THE SHOW.  ALSO, YOU MAY MAKE COPIES OF YOUR CURRENT ApHC  MEMBERSHIP CARD, YOUTH CARD AND

       NON-PRO CARD.    

……RETURNED CHECKS……

Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be charged a $25.00 penalty and will be added to the amount due.  Accounts will be given ten days to be paid in full with cash or cash equivalent or they will be turned over to the sanctioning organization and the person will be suspended from further shows here.

Halter Entry Fee                $49.00 per class/4 Judges                                                     NEW FOR 2006!!!!

Performance Entry Fee      $49.00 per class/4 Judges                                                   Enter 5 classes and get the 6th class equal order

Non-Pro Entry Fee            $45.00 per class/4 Judges                                                   lesser value for ½ off!!! Example: Enter 5

Youth Entry Fee                $33.00 per class/4 Judges                                                   Youth classes and 1 Open class. Pay for

       4 Youth and 1 Open and get 1 Youth class ½       

               

Off. Opener and Finals are not combinable.
